In late November Just Have A Think’s Dave Borlace spent the morning sitting in Central Hall in Westminster, London alongside an audience of more than  twelve hundred people called The National Emergency  Briefing, and it pulled absolutely no punches  in its explanation of the climate emergency we  now find ourselves in. This was n’t a hall full of radicals, but of the liberal intelligensia, who are getting increasingly worried about the growing climate emergency. There is even an ex-MOD man saying he is worried. Of course, no one pointed to the root cause – capitalism – but the key take away is self evident. A socialist “National Emergency Briefing” aimed at the left might be an event worth thinking about.
